Vintage Dona's Sweet Tots Christmas Sleigh Ceramic Kids Large 13" Holiday Set

This wonderfully charming vintage Christmas scene features three of the unmistakable wide-eyed children associated with Dona’s Sweet Tots ceramic mold line, bundled in colorful winter clothing and gathered around a faux-wood sleigh decorated with holly.
And these Sweet Tots are BIG! This is not a miniature figurine set. The complete arrangement measures approximately 13 inches across by 8 inches, and the individual children themselves are substantial pieces. The kneeling child in the burgundy hood, for example, measures approximately 6½ inches tall on her own. Together, the figures and sleigh create a large Christmas display with wonderful presence on a mantel, tabletop, buffet, or beneath a holiday tree.
The children are full of personality, with oversized blue eyes, rosy cheeks, softly painted faces, and cozy winter outfits in muted burgundy, peach, and blue-green. The dimensional sleigh and textured snowy base complete the nostalgic handmade ceramic look. It's the kind of vintage Christmas piece that gets noticed from across the room rather than disappearing among smaller ornaments and figurines.
The design appears to be from Dona’s Molds Sweet Tots line. Dona sold ceramic molds for pieces to be cast and individually finished by ceramic artists and studios, so completed examples can vary in paint colors and finishing. These pieces are not factory maker-marked. A hand-incised notation is present on the underside of one piece and is shown in the photographs.
