Vintage Durango Mexico Religious Key Holder, St Martin of Tours Wall Plaque, Picture Lifting
$19.95
This vintage Durango, Mexico wall plaque combines a practical key holder with a richly detailed Catholic devotional scene. Gold-toned ornament surrounds Saint Martin on horseback sharing his red cloak with a beggar, with the Immaculate Heart of Mary pictured behind him.
Saint Martin of Tours lived during the fourth century and served in the Roman army before becoming a bishop. According to Christian tradition, he cut his military cloak in half to help a man suffering in the cold—an act of compassion represented in this image.
The plaque features key hooks beneath the religious artwork and a Durango souvenir designation. Its exact maker and production date are unknown.
Vintage condition with visible wear. The applied picture is lifting and separating from the backing along the lower edge, as shown in the close-up photographs. Please review all photos carefully for the artwork, edges, hooks and overall condition.
An unusual piece of Mexican devotional décor for a religious collection or an entryway with character.
