Each girl is unique, and the hand-drawn floral bouquets and ink ground lines give them a whimsical, deeply personal quality. The backs reveal fragments of personal correspondence in period cursive handwriting, and one card is inscribed “I love you.” Consistent with 1930s–1950s American folk craft tradition.
