A gold locket in miniature, opening to reveal a hand-illustrated Barbie in a burgundy skating costume trimmed with fur — a design pulled from genuine 19th-century greeting card artwork. Hallmark artist Patricia Andrews built this piece around the Victorian Elegance Barbie doll, which held real significance in the Barbie world: it was the very first Hallmark Special Edition Barbie, introduced in 1994, kicking off a partnership between the two companies that ran for years afterward. This ornament followed in 1997 as part of Hallmark’s Victorian Christmas Collection.
Still sealed in its original packaging with the red satin ribbon hanger, and comes complete with the original box and Barbie Collectibles insert booklet.
