Wonderful vintage Czech/Czechoslovak folk costume doll pair by Lidová Tvorba of Uherský Brod, presented in their original box and appearing unused.
The approximately 4.5” male and female dolls remain strapped into their original packaging and wear detailed traditional regional costumes with colorful woven trims, lace and miniature textile details.
Original box insert is printed “OLŠAVSKÝ PÁR,” identifying the pair, while the packaging bears the triangular LIDOVÁ TVORBA UH. BROD maker’s logo. An old handwritten “Czech.” label also remains on the exterior packaging.
Lidová Tvorba was established in Uherský Brod in 1936 and became known for handmade dolls dressed in traditional regional costumes representing the folk traditions of Moravia, Bohemia and Slovakia.
Condition: Dolls appear unused/new old stock and remain secured in their original box. Box and packaging show significant storage/age wear, including edge wear, creasing, discoloration and general handling wear. Dolls themselves appear very nicely preserved. Please see all photographs.
