Charming Romaine Lacaux art doll produced for The Cleveland Museum of Art, inspired by Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s 1864 portrait Romaine Lacaux.
This approximately 11-inch cloth doll beautifully interprets the young sitter from Renoir’s painting, with auburn yarn hair, hand-painted facial features, lace-trimmed blouse, dark dress, dimensional flowers, and her original illustrated museum hangtag.
The reverse of the original tag identifies the doll as © The Cleveland Museum of Art and manufactured by MerryMakers, Inc., Oakland, California. Made in China, with the tag printed in Hong Kong.
Condition: Good preowned condition. The doll presents very nicely overall. The black shoes show visible dust/soiling from storage and may benefit from gentle cleaning. Original museum hangtag is present and shows light handling/storage wear. Please review photos for the complete condition.
