Original 1984 20th Annual Dapper Dan Roundball Classic Official Yearbook, accompanied by an original ticket from the April 13, 1984 event at Pittsburgh Civic Arena.
This is a particularly appealing survivor from one of the most historically important high-school basketball showcase events in the United States.
Founded in Pittsburgh in 1965, the Dapper Dan Roundball Classic became the country’s pioneering national high-school All-Star basketball game, bringing together elite graduating players before their college careers.
This 1984 program contains rosters, statistics, photographs, advertising and other material relating to the 20th annual event. Among the players appearing in the program is Cedric Henderson, who was the United States MVP of the 1984 Dapper Dan Classic. Pennsylvania’s MVP was Junie Lewis.
Especially noteworthy is the original admission ticket preserved with the yearbook, printed:
