Charming vintage miniature wooden folk doll depicting a mustached man in colorful traditional-style clothing. Approximately 2.5” tall, the figure is constructed from turned wood and entirely hand painted, with a bright blue cap and trousers, turquoise shirt, black vest and colorful pink sash or apron.
The wonderfully simple facial features and saturated colors give him the distinctive character of a mid-century tourist or souvenir folk-art doll. The underside is unfinished wood with a recessed construction hole. No maker or country markings found, and exact regional origin is unknown.
Condition: Good vintage condition with scattered paint rubbing, scratches and minor surface wear consistent with age. Please see photos.
