Striking vintage international folk costume/souvenir doll, approximately 5” tall and believed to date to the mid-20th century, likely circa 1960s. Doll features a fabric-covered face with beautifully hand-painted dramatic eyes and facial details, brown fiber hair, tall traditional-style cap, purple and rust costume with elaborate white lace trim, metallic gold braid, earrings and decorative medallion.
A wonderful little example of mid-century travel souvenir craftsmanship with particularly elaborate costume detailing for its small size.
Vintage used condition with age-related wear, including loose/frayed lace and fibers, surface wear and aging to textiles. Tiny shoes are attached/constructed with visible small metal pins or nails, photographed clearly for condition. Please review photographs carefully.
