Charming vintage European souvenir doll dressed in an elaborate traditional folk-style costume. This approximately 5” hard plastic doll features a dramatic white lace winged headdress, purple bodice with metallic gold trim and decorative floral accent, and a beautifully constructed full woven skirt with lace apron and gold edging.
The doll has hand-painted facial features and molded plastic arms and appears to date approximately to the 1950s–1960s, when small regional costume dolls were popular travel souvenirs throughout Europe.
Her particularly elaborate lace headdress and layered textile costume give her wonderful display appeal. Country or specific regional origin is unknown, so she is being described broadly as European rather than attributing her to a location without documentation.
