Lot of four handmade knotted-cord Catholic rosaries, acquired from the closing auction of a convent in Lakewood, Ohio.
The group includes three colorful cord rosaries with hand-knotted crosses and one especially decorative purple and cream example incorporating carved/ornamented brown beads to form the cross.
These lightweight cord rosaries are constructed primarily through knots rather than conventional strung beads, a durable form of rosary traditionally well suited to carrying, travel, missions and everyday prayer. Contemporary examples continue to be made in nylon and similar cord.
Colors include gray/white, blue, green/gold/cream and purple/cream.
Preowned vintage/older devotional pieces with age and handling wear, including some loose/frayed cord ends, particularly around the decorative cross. Please review photographs closely.
