Impressive vintage brass jardiniere / cachepot featuring a rounded substantial body, wide rolled rim and decorative lion-mask ring handles.
Measures approximately 11.5” across x 7” tall.
The brass retains extensive naturally aged character including darkened patina, spotting, scratches, oxidation and areas of verdigris. Interior also shows substantial age-related oxidation.
The upper rim has some unevenness / waviness, visible in the photographs. This appears consistent with age and use and should be considered part of the condition.
The sculptural lion-mask mounts with hanging rings give the piece a wonderful Old World, English country, Regency revival or traditional European decorative appearance.
Excellent as a jardiniere, cachepot, large decorative bowl, fireplace accessory or centerpiece vessel.
Sold in found vintage condition and intentionally not polished. Please review photographs carefully.
