This vintage Anton Pieck paper-tole picture turns a bustling old-world steam locomotive scene into a miniature dimensional tableau. Layered paper elements give the engine, figures, running boy and dog real depth, making it much more interesting in person than a flat print.
Measures approximately 8” x 6” overall.
The scene is housed in a decorative gold-tone frame beneath a heavy clear plastic front rather than glass. Anton Pieck’s name is visible within the artwork, and the layered construction is characteristic of vintage paper-tole or decoupage-style decorative art.
