Four vintage copies of Songs of the St. Louis Jesuits: Comprehensive Edition, a collection of Catholic liturgical music associated with one of the most influential groups in modern American Catholic worship. The worn red covers and convent provenance give this set the wonderful lived-in character of books that were actually used rather than simply shelved.
The comprehensive edition includes songs from the recorded collections Neither Silver Nor Gold, Earthen Vessels, A Dwelling Place, and Gentle Night. Copyright pages shown are dated 1977 and 1978 by North American Liturgy Resources, with imprimatur dated November 21, 1977.
This listing includes four copies. These were acquired from the closing of a convent in the Cleveland-area region. Books show age, edge wear, surface wear, page toning and signs of prior use consistent with church or community ownership.
