A wonderfully detailed vintage silver-tone metal holder covered in a lively raised scene of figures in period dress. Tiny faces, costumes, staffs and architectural details wrap around the vessel, giving it the wonderfully busy Old World character of a miniature tavern scene.
Measures approximately 3” tall. Unmarked; exact maker, metal composition and original intended use are unknown. Its size and open cylindrical form make it suitable as a small spoon or utensil holder, pencil cup, vanity vessel or decorative display piece.
Vintage surface wear, tarnish, oxidation, discoloration and spotting are present throughout, particularly on the base and interior. We have left the aged surface as found rather than aggressively polishing it.
