A wonderfully dramatic vintage fascinator from The May Co., Cleveland, combining black velvet, sparkling rhinestones, and a spray of extraordinarily long black feathers.
The sculpted velvet base sits close to the head with curved side panels and a rhinestone-trimmed front edge. From the crown rises a sweeping arrangement of fine black feathers that gives the piece extraordinary movement and silhouette from every angle.
The original woven label inside reads THE MAY CO. CLEVELAND, giving this piece an especially nice bit of Ohio department-store history.
Very good vintage condition overall. Feathers retain strong shape and movement, velvet presents beautifully, and rhinestone trim remains striking. Light age/storage wear may be present as expected with vintage millinery. Please review close-up photos.
