A beautiful little survivor from another era. This vintage baby knit coat features soft sage green and cream coloring, contrasting knit textures, delicate floral embroidery across the chest, and a sweet cream collar and cuffs.
One of its most interesting details is the original label reading “Made Under Knitted Outerwear Code Authority,” accompanied by the NRA eagle emblem and code number 161. This label is associated with the National Recovery Administration period of the 1930s, making the coat an especially interesting piece of children's clothing history.
The decorative edging and tiny front buttons give this little coat a wonderful heirloom character, perfect for a vintage baby clothing collection or historical textile display.
